The PLAY BRICK took a different approach towards a LEGO® exhibition, what we planned was the following:

In contrast to most LEGO® exhibitions, which often focus on adult models, PLAY BRICK deliberately takes a step back. Our focus is on encouraging people to play, build and discover the colorful LEGO® world themselves. We want to present the bricks in their most original form and hope that many children will spend creative hours with us.

It is not planned as a traditional exhibition, but an interactive experience. But there should also be space for exhibition models to inspire our visitors to build, play, try out, drive, dig, marvel, learn and laugh.

And it worked!

We had roughly 500 grown-ups visiting us each day and about the same amount of kids, all looking to play, build and try something out

The following attractions have been available for people to try:

DUPLO Playground

Here the youngest kid could play, build, destroy, re-build and get creative. It was one of the most popular places, some parents / kids spending hours on playing

ROMAN LEGION

Here the visitors had to build 16 x 16 module, all pre-packaged and with instructions, resulting in the end in a realistic model of a Roman Legion encampment.

But we have also been able to show nice MOCs for people to look at:

So overall, a great success, a lot of fun for everyone involved.

Zeta Station

I showcased the first presentation of “Zeta-Station” which was exclusively build for the PLAY BRICK.

It features a central build of 4 main installations:

  • A Spaceport

Around the central core there are 9 different sections:

  1. Airfield 1 as the landing base for the AIR-2307-SR
  2. Antenna field for radioastronomy and communications
  3. Airfield 2 as the landing base for the AIR4Q-2312-LR
  4. Airfield 3 as the landing base for the LL-670-CAZ
  5. Landing field for the Eagle
  6. Power Generation
